HOSPITALITY INTERIOR DESIGN

Environments That Create Lasting Impressions

In hospitality, design is not decoration — it is the experience itself. We create hotel, restaurant, and leisure environments that guests remember, return to, and recommend.

Hospitality Design That Performs as Beautifully as It Looks

Great hospitality begins long before a guest is greeted. It begins the moment they walk through the door – with the quality of light, the warmth of materials underfoot, the sense that every detail has been considered for their comfort and experience. Design is the invisible hand behind all of it.

At Atlantic Interiors, we bring the same depth of creative craft and material expertise to hospitality projects that we bring to our finest private residences. We understand that the best hospitality environments achieve something genuinely difficult: they feel effortlessly beautiful, while operating with the quiet precision of a well-run machine.

We have worked on boutique hotels, private dining rooms, bars, spas, and leisure facilities – always with the same central commitment. The space must be visually extraordinary. It must reflect the identity and values of the brand it represents. And it must stand up to the demands of daily commercial use, remaining beautiful and functional long after the opening night.

Steve Fairfax’s international travel and deep relationships with luxury suppliers means that Atlantic Interiors can bring a level of material quality and design originality to hospitality projects that is rarely available through conventional commercial design routes.

What’s included

Our Full Hospitality Design Service. From the initial concept and spatial planning through to FF&E procurement, bespoke manufacture, and on-site installation, our hospitality service covers every element of the design process managed by a single, experienced team from start to finish.

Concept Development & Brand Translation

We work closely with owners and operators to understand the story, values, and market position of their property — translating that identity into a coherent, compelling interior concept across all spaces.

Spatial Planning & Guest Journey Design

Hospitality spaces must flow. We design with the guest journey in mind — from arrival and reception through to bedroom, dining, and leisure spaces — ensuring that every transition feels considered and every space serves its purpose with clarity.

FF&E Specification & Procurement

Full furniture, fixtures, and equipment specification and procurement — sourced from our international supplier portfolio and managed entirely by our team. Commercial durability and aesthetic excellence are always considered together.

Bespoke Joinery & Built-In Design

Many of the most distinctive elements of a hospitality interior are bespoke — reception desks, bar counters, bedroom headboards, cabinetry. We design and oversee the production of bespoke joinery and built-in elements that become defining features of the space.

Lighting Design

Lighting in hospitality environments must work across multiple modes — from bright and welcoming to intimate and atmospheric. We design lighting schemes that give operators full control of the mood, while ensuring every space looks exceptional in every condition.

Soft Furnishings, Textiles & Window Treatments

Every textile choice — from bedroom upholstery and curtains to restaurant seating fabrics — is selected for both aesthetic quality and commercial performance.

Artwork & Decorative Objects

A considered artwork and accessory programme gives a hospitality environment personality and a sense of place. We source and curate pieces that feel specific to the property and its location, not generic to the sector.

Project Management & On-Site Oversight

We manage the full design and procurement process through to installation, working closely with your main contractor, project manager, and operational team to ensure that design integrity is maintained through every stage of the build.

Our Process

Hospitality projects move quickly and involve many moving parts. Our process is designed to keep the design vision intact from the first concept presentation all the way through to the day you open your doors.

Step 1 – Listen

We begin with a detailed briefing session – exploring your vision for the property, your target guest profile, your brand values, and the commercial context. We visit the site and get under the skin of what makes this property its own.

Step 2 – Explore

We develop a full concept presentation – including mood boards, spatial layouts, material and finish palettes, lighting principles, and FF&E directions – across all areas of the property. Refined in close collaboration with you until every element of the concept is right.

Step 3 – Create

Production phase – managing all procurement, overseeing bespoke manufacture, attending site regularly, and coordinating with the wider project team to keep design quality on track through the realities of a live build.

Step 4 – Deliver

Full installation and styling of all spaces – ensuring that every area of the property is presented to its absolute best on the day you open your doors.

Why Atlantic Interiors

There are many studios that work in hospitality design. Here is why the clients who matter most to us choose Atlantic Interiors – and come back to us for every project that follows.

Beauty and function are not a compromise.

In hospitality design, every aesthetic decision has an operational implication. We have the experience to make choices that are genuinely beautiful and genuinely practical – so your team can work efficiently and your guests can experience the space as it was designed to feel.

Material quality that sets properties apart.

Access to our international supplier network means that Atlantic Interiors can specify materials and furniture for hospitality projects that are genuinely distinctive — not the same pieces found in hotel projects across the sector.

A partner for the long term.

The relationship does not end on opening day. We support clients through refresh and reconfiguration projects as their properties evolve, and remain a resource for procurement and styling as pieces need replacing or new spaces are added.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we are always happy to talk through your project and answer anything you have on your mind.
Can you work within tight commercial budgets and build programmes?
Yes. We are experienced at designing to commercial project constraints – balancing specification quality with budget realities, and working to the timelines that hospitality projects demand. We are transparent about costs from the outset and will always tell you clearly what is achievable within your parameters.
Do you work with new hospitality openings and with existing properties looking to refurbish?
Both. We work with new builds and new openings from the earliest planning stages, and with established properties undergoing partial or full refurbishment. Each context requires a different approach, and we are experienced with both.
Can you design individual areas within a property rather than the whole building?
Yes. We are equally comfortable taking on a complete property design commission and working on a specific area – a new bar, a restaurant redesign, or a bedroom refresh programme – within an existing property.
How do you approach brand identity within the design?
We work closely with owners and marketing teams to ensure that the interior design is a genuine expression of the property’s brand – not a generic hospitality aesthetic applied over it. Where brand guidelines exist, we work within them and extend them into the physical environment with intelligence and originality.
