COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN

Spaces That Communicate Who You Are

Commercial environments carry enormous power. The right interior communicates your brand, elevates your offering, and makes a lasting impression before a word is spoken.

Commercial Design With the Precision of a Private Commission

The commercial spaces that make the strongest impressions are not the ones with the largest budgets – they are the ones where every decision has been made with clarity of purpose. Where the design tells a coherent story about the organisation it represents. Where the quality of materials, light, and detail communicates, without words, that this is a business that takes everything it does seriously.

Atlantic Interiors approaches every commercial design commission with the same depth of thinking and care for detail that defines our residential and hospitality work. We do not operate a separate commercial department with a different standard – we bring the same creative director, the same supplier relationships, and the same absolute commitment to quality to every brief we take on.

We work with businesses, professional services firms, developers, and property owners across a range of commercial environments – designing spaces that are as considered and carefully crafted as they are practical and built to last.

What’s included

We offer a fully integrated commercial design service – combining creative direction, material specification, procurement, and project management under one roof. Every element is aligned to your brief, your brand, and the practical demands of your working environment.

Briefing & Concept Development

We begin by understanding your business – your brand values, your team, your clients, and how the space is used day to day. This understanding drives every design decision that follows.

Space Planning & Workflow Design

Great commercial interiors work with the way people actually use them. We plan spaces carefully – balancing collaborative and private working areas, client-facing and operational zones, and the flow between them.

Material & Finish Specification

Every surface, finish, and material is selected for both aesthetic quality and commercial durability – specified to look exceptional on day one and to remain so through the wear of daily business life.

Furniture Specification & Procurement

From statement reception pieces to everyday working furniture, we specify and procure every item – ensuring consistency of quality and aesthetic across the whole scheme.

Bespoke Joinery & Built-In Elements

Reception desks, feature walls, storage, shelving, and display elements – bespoke joinery turns a fitted-out commercial space into a designed one, and we oversee every element of its production and installation.

Lighting Design

Commercial lighting must balance task performance with the quality of light that affects how people feel in a space. We design lighting schemes that serve both needs – functional where it needs to be, atmospheric where it can be.

Branding Integration

We work closely with your brand guidelines and marketing teams to integrate brand identity into the physical environment – through colour, material, graphics, and architectural detail.

Project & Contractor Management

We manage the full design and installation process alongside your building team – ensuring that design specification is maintained through the build, and that the finished space matches the approved concept in every detail.

Our Process

We manage commercial projects with clarity and precision at every stage – keeping your brief, your budget, and your programme on track from initial concept through to handover and beyond.

Step 1 – Listen

A thorough initial brief covering your business, your people, your brand, and your ambitions for the space. We visit the site, ask the questions others don’t, and leave with a complete picture of what the project needs to achieve.

Step 2 – Explore

A full concept presentation – spatial layouts, material and finish palettes, furniture directions, and lighting principles. Presented clearly, refined collaboratively, and signed off before any procurement begins.

Step 3 – Create

Full production management – procurement, bespoke manufacture, contractor coordination, and site oversight. Every element tracked to ensure that quality and programme are maintained through the build.

Step 4 – Deliver

Complete installation and final styling, followed by a thorough handover walkthrough with your team. The result is a space that is ready to use, ready to impress, and built to last.

Why Atlantic Interiors

Commercial design is a crowded field. What we offer is something genuinely different – the creative standards of a luxury residential studio, applied to the demands of a commercial brief.

The quality of a private commission, applied to a commercial brief.

We do not offer a reduced version of our residential service for commercial clients. You receive the same creative director, the same supplier access, and the same standard of execution – applied to your specific commercial context.

Design that serves the business.

We understand that commercial spaces need to perform – for the people who work in them, the clients who visit them, and the brand they represent. Every decision we make is tested against that understanding.

Trusted supplier relationships that benefit your project.

Our long-term relationships with international furniture brands and specialist suppliers mean we can access pieces and materials that are not available through standard commercial procurement channels – giving your project a genuine edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – we are always happy to talk through your project and answer anything you have on your mind.
What types of commercial spaces do you design?
We work across a broad range of commercial environments – including professional services offices, client reception and meeting spaces, retail showrooms, brand environments, and mixed-use developments. If you are unsure whether your project falls within our scope, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss it.
Can you work around a live business without significant disruption?
Yes. We are experienced at phasing commercial projects to minimise operational disruption, and at working with your facilities and management teams to plan the work around business-critical periods.
Do you work with landlords and developers on commercial fit-outs?
Yes. We work with both occupiers designing their own space and with developers and landlords creating commercial spaces for lease or sale – including show suites, marketing suites, and fitted-out floor plates.
How do commercial design fees work?
Commercial projects are typically quoted on a project fee basis, agreed at the outset based on the scope and scale of the brief. We will always be clear about fees before any work begins. Contact us to discuss your project and we will be happy to provide a proposal.
